“My recent trip home, to Africa has been a major inspiration and has, no doubt, had a marked effect on the
evolution on my work.

These pieces are made in different stages and assembled hot. I concentrate on colour & surface texture and achieve these by applying numerous techniques such as graal, multiple colour overlay, sandblasting, carving and etching.

Using various kitchen and plumbing implements I am able to mould and sculpt
the molten material – creating real and imagined moments of Africa.
