Bernard Dunstan RA born 1920. The National Portrait Gallery holds 11 works by this 20th Century British artist. All are portraits of Kathleen Ferrier from the 1950's. Two Works are also held by the Tate Gallery. The Royal West of England Academy RWA has one figurative painting in its permanent collection. Works in other public collections include: Aberdeen Art Gallery, Arts Council, Bristol Art Gallery, Museum of London, National Gallery of New Zealand, Plymouth Art Gallery, Rochdale Art Gallery, Royal Collection, Windsor.

Bernard Dunstan exhibits annually in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition,
having been elected a Royal Academician in 1968. He was also the
President of the Royal West of England Academy from 1979 to 1984. His
writings on art have been published, including the titles 'Learning to
Paint' (1970) and 'Painting Methods of the Impressionists' (1976) and
have been an influence in art schools.
