His ‘Mirage’, ‘Reef’ and ‘Paradiso’ series caught my attention when I first came to the UK and I asked myself, how do you produce such an array of forms and surface qualities? It is persistence over time; it is the invaluable experience you gain from creating the opportunities to allow it all to happen. There must come a time in your life when you think, 'I shouldn’t complain, I’ve done quite well and life has been good to me, I think I ought to give something back.
