Still after all the years making glass never know what to write about.
I could write a bit in a completely up your arse kind of arty way and include all the buzz words alphabetically that seem to be included in descriptions of art and craft globally. But why. I think that my work is quite good and hopefully talks for itself. Really, you either like the thing or don't like the thing and that will, along with the depth of your pockets, depend on whether you hand over the ackers and cart it home. And then, whether you still like it or realise that it has all been a dreadful mistake and your partner thinks that you have the taste of a no eyed deer, will depend on whether you have to give it to the mother in law or lob it in the attic for a year or two until the next car boot sale.
Life is just too short. I am constantly amazed that people buy what I do. And I am really humbled when they get pleasure out of it. I know that on the scale of things blowing a bit of glass does not rate alongside a doctor or nurse or all the millions of people that roll up their metephorical sleeves and actually help people, but if it brings some pleasure into somebody's life, that has got to be good.
As you can probably tell, if you have read this far, I can not take the art bit of what I do too seriously. Yes, all my ranges have an inspirational basis from somewhere, but to try and explain and unravel the different traces would be pointless to most people and certainly well beyond my capabilities to put on a virtual sheet of paper, sober. Now, take me out to the pub and buy me a few beers. Then I'll talk, in fact just try and stop me. But to blandly write that my work is really amazing and based on the life cycle of the yellow tailed amazon tree frog is not me (and it isn't)
